what are colonics?

Colon hydrotherapy isn't a fad of alternative health. This treatment was actually developed in the early 20th century, and the use of enemas (similar to colonics) and beliefs surrounding colon impurity have been around since ancient Egypt.

Colon Hydrotherapy, also known as Colonics, is a safe, effective method of removing waste from the large intestine, without the use of drugs.  By introducing filtered and temperature-regulated water into the colon, the waste is softened and loosened, resulting in evacuation through natural peristalsis. This process is repeated several times during a session.  Colon Hydrotherapy is best used in combination with adequate nutrient and fluid intake as well as exercise. Today's sophisticated technology promotes both the safety and sanitation of this popular cleansing practice." (as defined by the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy)

I have been a Colon Hydrotherapist since 2003 and I have been receiving colonics for myself, when necessary, since 2000.  I feel they have only benefited my overall health - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.  Despite what you may read on the internet about how dangerous colonics are, I will share that I have only had successful outcomes with myself and my clients since 2003.

I use the FDA - approved HydroSan "closed method" in my practice.  This equipment is shown in the image below.
