Colonic Preparation

The better you prep, the better the colonic…please do your best to do the following, and don’t panic if you can’t do it all.

Key things to do before your colonic:

2 days prior to your appt eat less meat and dairy and eat more fruits and vegetables.  Also, do you best to drink at least 3-4 liters of water per day.

The night before your colonic appt, take a natural laxative.  I recommend a product called Cleansemore by Renew Life or Natural Laxative by Aboca. However, if you go to your local health food store there are many to choose from.  A cup of warm prune juice also works well.

2 hours before your appt, don’t eat or drink anything.  You will receive abdominal massage during the colonic, so it’s important to have an empty bladder.

In addition:

Arrive on time without a rushed manner.  The intestines work best when they are relaxed.

Laughing, breathing, listening to soothing music and being in a supportive loving environment all helps the central nervous system to relax.

Schedule some time to exercise either the day of or the day prior to having a colonic. Swim, walk, ride a bicycle, dance, garden, play with your children or pets, clean, get a reiki treatment, practice yoga or pilates.  Rebouding (bouncing on a mini trampoline) is fabulous for toning the colon and other organs as well as for stimulation of the lymphatic system.  Enjoy and be grateful for your amazing body.
